Silent Partners — Tony Coleman (drums/vocals), Russell Jackson (bass/vocals) and Jonathan Ellison (guitar/vocals) — boast more than a century’s worth of experience playing the blues. Their individual resumes include stints with B.B. King, Albert King, Bobby Blue Bland, Johnnie Taylor, Otis Clay, Denise LaSalle, Matt “Guitar” Murphy and a host of other blues heavyweights.

But Changing Times on Little Village is all Silent Partners. Their blues comes from a deep well, with the band having a keen feel for the rhythm of each song and the ability to play only the notes that need to be played. It is a simple, straightforward musical attribute, yet too often rare in today’s blues recordings.

So sit back and enjoy the benefit of listening to real blues guys playing real blues music.
